You can learn enough to read 'HANGUL(Korean alphabet)' while traveling. Reading HANGUL is very easy!!
Excellent video, but I’d like to warn people to not eat octopus. So I have lived in South Korea for about 8 months now and I have to say that it is actually very easy to take the metro. For those people watching this in 2021 and later, when you visit South Korea download Naver and change the language to English. It is the best GPS in country and helps you with public transportation. The metro has English and Korean, learn Hangul characters and you will be able to navigate well. Don't be like some people who refuse to learn and believe everyone should know English.
