Funny thing about this video is, it's not about Anchorage — it's about all the places AROUND Skanchorage (Seward, Girdwood) because Anchorage isn't all that exciting.
For a true Alaskan experience, visit Southeast Alaska; Ketchikan, Juneau, Sitka, Haines, Skagway. That's the REAL Alaska — without the earthquakes and crime like Anchorage.

I believe it was one day last winter when I got a crazy idea, and went to weather.com for the highest and lowest American city temperatures I could find at that moment. I found Fairbanks was at -40, and Honolulu at 85–a 125 degree temperature span in the same country at the same time. What an amazingly varied country is the USA.
The ski resort he mentioned at Girdwood is Alyeska (ah-lee-ESS-kuh).
The parked red seaplane/floatplane toward the end was at Lake Hood–the world's largest seaplane base.

Me, sitting here in Anchorage wondering what they're going to say about Anchorage. Travel Guide: Well, you can go to the museum or the Native Heritage Center, but where you really want to go is Flat Top, Eklutna, Girdwood, Seward, etc. LOL! Well, like they say…Anchorage, it's only 15 minutes from Alaska!
