My wife and I were on holiday in the US and Canada for the first time back in 1990. The flight home on the last day was from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. After check-in, we killed time at a coffee cafe. The coffee was nice. The name of the cafe? Starbucks. That was my enduring memory of our first trip to the US and of Seattle.
